The room, its amenities (e.g. Turkish bath, massage, etc) and, specially, the breakfast are to die for. At breakfast time, Luisa and her coworkers are constantly checking every table making sure everybody's needs are satisfied. Definitively, this is the hotel I'll stay at when I return to Bogotá.
There is nothing special about this hotel and honestly I wonder how they got their five stars rating? I went for lunch with my family at their rooftop, a poor man was taking care of everything by himself, the swimming pool, the room service, guests and the restaurants and who knows what else. He was far from coping. We spent two hours grabbing a burger, a beer and a dessert. Quality of the food was merely acceptable.
We staying in the B.O.G. Hotel as part of a vacation package through Colombia. We loved this hotel. It was quiet in a nice part of Bogota. Our suite was a comfortable size, with a king sized bed, two chaise lounges and a large bath area. (Not sure if this is true for all rooms, but the bathroom is part of the larger room with only a glass partition between the bath area and sleep/rest area. This is not for everyone. There is no privacy.) Products in the bath were luxurious, and we had turn down service each night. The breakfast buffet was above average, but the staff didn't keep the tables full, so if you missed the eggs, too bad! Service was great if not a bit slow, but we were warned to be on 'Colombian' time and just relaxed into it. There is a small gym in the basement with treadmills, an elliptical machine, but free weights. El Retiro neighborhood is lush and felt very safe. You can walk to the mall to shop or to several local establishments to eat or have a drink. I would stay here again if our travels brought us back to Bogota.
B.O.G. Hotel is amazing. Great staff and great service. We had a cancelled domestic flight and they helped us right away, it was very helpful. Also, the drinks are amazing! Mr. Gustavo makes the best drinks! The espresso martini is the best one we’ve ever tried, and the mocktail that Gustavo makes is also delicious! Highly recommend staying at this hotel!
Great Hotel. The service is amazing. Will stay here again when we come back. Totally recommended. Short walking distance to a nice mall, restaurants and bars.
